And' a pleasant Thursday morning of the first day of the month of June, year 1967 and you/he/she is put in commerce one of the most famous albums of the history of the rock, the first concept album to receive a so wide consent of criticism and public. We are speaking of "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, the eighth of the official discografia of the mythical Fabs Four. One of the most famous of the history of the contemporary music, that you think, it still occupies the first position in the list of the 500 best disks of every time it publishes from the magazine Rolling Stone. Everything is born in the 1967 spring, when the four of Liverpool is found in full vacation. In special way is Paul McCartney that together with Neil Aspinall, future administrator of the Apple, finds again him of the in the American West Coas. The two finds very curious and fanciful some names of the rocks band of Los Angelese and, inspired by such episode, McCartney writes a song on a group of classical musicians, called note "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band", or "the Gang of the Club of Sergeant Pepper's Solitary Hearts." The rest of the band likes the two idea and once returned in London Sergeant Pepper's band it is born. Nothing was left to the case, understood the cover that was realized by Jann Haworth and by Peter Blake. The Beatleses put together his/her own vision of the world creating a collage of their characters symbol, among which Einstein, Karl Marx, M.Brando, And.To.Poe. Among the characters put in list by Lennon, then rejected, also Jesus and To.Hitler. Also the back part of the cover has one particular symbolism of his. There were in fact for the first time in the history of the rock, the texts of the songs. And not only. The fourth trace is Getting Better ("it is All right"): the title is born from a way to say of Jimmy Nicol, drummer that taken the place of Ringo Starr in its fleeting abandonment of the 1964. Fixing to Hole ("to repair a hole"), fifth song, has a clear reference to the heroin (what none of the Beatleses in reality had still tried) and therefore censored. She's Leaving Home ("you go of house") creates more an atmosphere and a harmony melanconica among the you appreciate some Beatleses, also because of the particular effectiveness of the collaboration between McCartney (author of the principal melody and the text) and Lennon (second voice). Being For the Benefit of Mr. Kite! it is the transposition in musical key of an apparent circense of Victorian age from Lennon. Listening to the disk, we meet Within You Without You, piece written by a George Harrison clearly inspired to the psychedelic one of the Indian music. The ninth song When I'm Sixty-Four ("when I will have sessantaquattro years"), is still an attempt of a McCartney ventiquattrenne, to think as it would be his/her life to the age of sessantaquattro years. Lovely Rita ("beautiful Rita") is written by McCartney, after a clash with a vigilessa. Good Morning Good Morning ("good morning good morning") of Lennon, has instead a fundamental role in to introduce the big end, with the reprise of the title track, accelerated, that leaves then space to the passage masterpiece of the album and the tallest point of the collaboration Lennon-McCartney, or To Day in the Life ("one day of the life"), whose working title was In the Life Of....An unique work and irripetibile that you/he/she cannot miss in your one man show collection! | |
