|  | Everything is born to Newcastle, Tyne and Wear, where the British quintet is formed in April of 2003, taking I sprout for the name of the band from the Maximo Gomez Park, a place of meeting of the revolutionary Cubans, to the Havana.
Initially formation was exclusively that of a quartet of instrumental avant-garde, that didn't exhibit live him and it played only for really beloved, often exchanging himself/herself/itself the tools. Next to the breakup, the group decides to look for someone who magnetized the attention, on the stage and lyrically. Voice of the group becomes so Paul Smith, discovered by that that was the girl of Tom English (battery) to the times. The quintet starts to write the first songs together and the frontman, that you/he/she had never sung on a stage until then, it reveals a notable stage presence.
Then the turn in March of the 2004. a friend finances 300 copies of one individual of theirs on vinyl and subsequently engraves a second vinyl with the passages (The Coast Is Always Changing / The Night The Lost My Head) that had recorded in their house of Fenham. After some live in the outskirts of their city native, Steve Beckett, of the Warp Records, he/she listens to one of their disks and it decides to put under contracts the Maxïmos Park.
In 2005 the consecration. The five they quickly affirm in the panorama and their album of debut, To Certain Trigger, you/he/she is welcomed by some critical ones as one of the best albums of the year and it makes to increase notably their fans' number in Great Britain. In July of the same year the album is named for the Mercury Prize.
Few more than one year later, in August of 2006 the band announces to have in the yard another album, produced by Gil Norton and recorded to London. January 22 nd 2007 the band announces that the their according to album, Our Earthly Pleasures, will go out April 2 nd 2007 and you/he/she will be preceded by the single Our Velocity. January 30 th 2007 you/they are published the details on the Our Earthly Pleasures Tour, whose tickets for the principal tappes have gone exhausted in few minutes.
In this moment the group is completing the realization of the third album with producer Nick Launay's (Nick Cave, Grinderman, Yeah Yeah Yeahs) help to Los Angeles. The new disk marks, according to Paul's Smith affirmations to NME, a light change of atmospheres with the keyboards in great evidence and a sound more directed toward the groove. Currently they are in tour for Europe to introduce the pieces of the new album whose gone out it is anticipated for the spring of the 2009.
The Maximos Park, have given already it looks like a title to what will be their third LP: the disk will call 'Quicken The Heart' and it will go out in May 2009, even if you/he/she has not been specified yet in what day. 'Quicken The Heart' it will contain 12 traces, among which there could be 'Tanned' and 'Questing'
