Who loves the true rock made in UK it is not able not to listen to the new masterpiece of Paul Weller. After a long and honorable career and after having gone beyond the threshold of the fifty years, "ModFather" it still feels like surprising and to create music as to the beautiful times when it enchanted the stages with the Jam and subsequently with the Style Council before undertaking a long and sparkling soloist career.

This time, in the ripercorrere a walk rich in successes and historical album summary, collaborators of exception it is submitted to, those people whom the new pillars of the British rock are considered: first on all his/her his/her/their child favorite Noel Gallagher, that together with the other Oasis Gem Archer and to the ex Blur Graham Coxon forms a trio from shivers. Without forgetting him ex Ocean Color, Scenes Steve Cradock, that Weller places side by side in the production of the album, Simon Di' of it and Charles Rees. But it is not everything. This "22 Dreamses", double album (the pieces are 21) characterized from more than a hour of phenomenal music, it traces in his/her structure the model of the classical concept album of the seventies, and it gives space to the whole creativeness of the ex leader of the Jam that spaces from the rock to the jazz without skipping his/her nature soul and electronics.

"Echoes round the sun", with the collaboration of the friend Noel Gallagher (in this occasion to the lower part and the piano, while to the guitar there is Gem Archer) is without any doubt the carrying piece of the whole job. It stuns the particular one "Song for Alice", in pure style Afro jazz devoted to the wife of John Coltrane, where Robert Wyatt surprises with his/her magic trumpet. But as not to speak of "One bright star" or of "111", electronic mix where Paul, the producer Simon Di' of it and the guitarist Steve Cradock makes an unrestrained use of the mellotron. Or of "God", poetry recited by the unmistakable voice of Aziz Ibrahim, guitarist of the Stone Roses and practising Moslem. To pass to "Black river", written to four hands with Graham Coxon. Without forgetting "All I wanna I give (is be with you)" and "Have you made up your mind." And we can come upon there without problems in a classical rivisitazione of the Style Council with "Empty Ring", "Invisible" (you listen well to the plan of this splendid piece) and "Cold Moments" or of the Jam with the disruptive one "Push It Along." A disk, "22 dreamses" to appraise in his/her complex more than in the single trace, in his/her being an encyclopedic mix of fantastic sounds and never banal, mark of factory of the great Paul Weller.
