| | At times, the presentations don't serve. It would only be enough at times to feel some song, or to see the statistics on the sales to understand with whom has to whether to do. All it takes is at times pronouncing the name Stereophonics to make to jolt from the chair hundreds of thousand of people. After ten years of honorable and glorious career, Kelly Jones and companions publican their personnel Best Of, "Ten in the Sun", where we are able ripercorrere the great successes of the band and not only. The creative vein of Jones, in fact, is not made to attend and it also has sfornato two unpublished works that have been inserted in the disk, correct to give that touch in more. To the first impact, the eye và immediately to the track list: the hitses of the Welsh band have been indeed so many and the 20 contained songs I am a testimony of it. You are enough to think that, in the years, the Stereophonicses have published six albums five of which you/they have reached the vertex of the British classifications. Not badly for a band that has had to change his/her own original formation, when Stuart Cable, owed abandon the group (for divergences with the other two components) for the actual drummer, Javier Weyler. And' really truth: changing the factors, the result doesn't change. The disk departs with the stilosa "Dakota", single of success of "Language. Sex. Violence. Other?.", for then to continue with the incessant rock of more and more "The bartender and the thief." The memoirs are made alive more and more when we come upon there in "Just looking" and the emotions gradually climb with the hit that all know, "Have to nice Day", and the passage that brought them to the consecration in Europe, or "Local boy in the photograph", that find in their job of debut, "Words gets Around." And so, among one "Maybe Tomorrow" and one "Pick to part that's new", we come upon there in the first unpublished work, "My own worst enemy", in which seems us to find again the Stereophonicses way, all rock and few other frills before: the band of Cwmaman doesn't deny him and gives indeed us a well realized piece. But the surprises, as you can imagine, they don't end here. The trace number 11, in fact, it is "You're my star", the second unpublished work of the disk. Chosen by Kelly as the carrying passage of the album, we can also admire a beautiful video of it, where the new guitarist Glen Titley also appears. The song, would come to say, an intersection could be considered among "Maybe tomorrow" and "It means nothing": in short, one of those that it literally makes to fall in love the fanses of the Welsh band. Going on, we lose there among the bewitching rhythm of "Mr. Writer", the unscrupulousness of "Devil", the armoniosità of "Traffic" and the sweetness of "Handbags and gladrags." The band that has conquered mean world with its style ever discounted, has reached his deserved degree. The examinations to which you/he/she has been submitted during the years, have been old to full votes and, some obstacle during this run, has easily been old. The joy and the desire to make music, are the mark of factory of these Stereophonicses. Kelly Jones (to our opinion one of the greatest songs contemporary writer) has known how to direct the everything with the correct mastery, succeeding in being never repetitive and banal. And believe me, in ten years the assignment has not been easy at all! And so, "Ten in the Sun", despite has gone out in a period in which quite a lot artists have published his/her own unpublished jobs, he places, in the first week, to the n. 2 of the classifications of sales in UK. The thesis is old. It doesn't now stay us, whether to attend the Stereophonicses to new adventures. Because he/she is known: the examinations never end. Alexander Setaro | |
