| | Coming from a village of called Wales Cwmaman, the Strereophonicses are born from the union of the singer guitarist Kelly Jones and his/her friend of infancy Stuart Cable, drummer. After having served in the military in different formations the two they create a new band, with the addition of the bassista Richard Jones, that he/she takes the name of Stereophonics. The trio goes out to the lights of the footlights thanks to the first job "Word Gets Around", an explosive mixture of guitars in perfect style british that mixes him to the perfection with the hoarse and scratching voice of the leader Kelly Jones. The continuous band to also cross the road of the brit-pop one with the following job in study, "Performance & Cocktails", a disk that confirms the creative vein of the Welsh passages graces of indisputable value as "Just Looking", "Hurry Up And Wait" and "T-shirt Sun." After having explored with success the road of the brit the group it changes direction and, with the third album, it changes the proper sound toward a more American style: it is born so "Just Enough Education to Perform", perfect match between the guitars and the desperate voice of Kelly, where it detaches the solarità of "Have To Nice Day", become by now a classical, the sweet melancholy of "Lying in The Sun", and the psichedelia of "Mr. Writer." In 2003 it goes out "You Gout Go There to as back", hauled by the good individual "Maybe Tomorrow", that puts in prominence the new soul of the Stereophonicses. After the exit of the album the group estranges from the band the drummer Stuart Cable that you/he/she is replaced by the Argentinian Javier Weyler. With this last the Welsh produce "Language. Sex. Violence. Other?", where for the first time the band is ventured with a more electronic sound. The result is an experimental disk that makes him appreciate above all for the splendid one "Dakota" and her well succeeded "Rewind." In 2007 the Stereophonicses return to the rock of the origins with "Pull The Pin" and, to end 2008, publican the best-of "Ten In The Sun", that picks up the top of the first ten years of their career together with the single ones "You're My Star" and "My Own Worst Enemy."
