7 AND 8 JULY 2009: THE U2S RISCRIVONO THE ROCK'S IN HISTORY ITALY What the U2s have always had with Italy a special relationship it is what it notices, but the show that the Irishmen have offered in the double one probably covers to the St. Siro in Milan (7 and 8 July) it has of the prodigious one. Worth partly of a stage that seems come by another planet, "The Claw", that has offered indeed an unique show to the stage with his/her magnetic claws and his/her grandeur. Never in the history of the rock a structure has ever succeeded in allowing as in this case the vision to the whole public, that has answered to not leaving even a free stool for a San Siro that you/he/she had ever been so full. The only worry of the eve concerned the history of the decibels: the authorities had threatened with lowering the volume of the concert for motives for public order except then to make dietrofront, reassuring the fans that were already on the foot of war, implicitly admitting that a show of the U2s is a sacred thing, for which you/he/she cannot be touched. Resolved the problem of the volume, the U2s can present in front of theirs beloved Italian public that welcomes him with the usual deafening boato, and to begin a concert destined to enter the history. The electric guitar of "Breathe" it casts him with the power of a lightning on him 80.000 of Milan, then he continues as from script on other passages of the last album: from the rock scanzonato and amusing of "Get on Your Boots", from the epic one of "No Line on the Horizon" up to the new strong point "Magnificient", convincing also in the live. Many have criticized that the scaletta begins with 4 passages drawn by NLOTH; to us it seems a brave and appropriate choice, even if it presses us to underline that the passages of the last job have need of still some break-in to make live to the best. The strong dishes are served later immediately, he passes from the essential one "The Still haven't Found What I'm Looking for" to "Angel Of Harlem", to which follow some spezzonis of "Hand in the Mirror" and "Don't Stop till get you enough" to make free to disappears him/it Micheal Jackson. The first one covers Milanese even to do he/she waits for him/it it coincides with the 18esimo birthday of the daughter of Bono that climbs on the stage while the band rispolvera from the files a vibrating "Party Girl", followed by the inevitable Happy Birthday. The spectators of July 8 have not had Party Girl but they are consoled with "Desire" and "Electrical Storm", even if I/you/they are had to sip the stupid one "Stuck in to Moment." There was room for the classical immortal as "Pride", "Sunday Bloody Sunday", "Where the Streets have no Name" (in absolute the best piece and that it gives the assistant value to every concert of theirs), "One" and "With or without you", even if we are not able whether to thank them for the pleasant return in scaletta of pieces as "The Unforgettable Fire" (indeed a sweet) and "Ultra Violet", only and exciting as we remembered her/it. Only two in the: the lack of a passage that has always characterized the shows of the U2s from The Joushua Tree in then as "Bullet the blue sky" (almost unforgivable absence) and the fact that unfortunately will spend a lot of time before seeing again the Irishmen to our house again. We make a petition to make them return the first possible.
